Maternity Me

So I am 30weeks along and I figured it was about time for some maternity pictures, it was my first try at maternity and I had a bunch of ideas that I wanted to try out, so I took my husband and made him help me. He's been trying to learn manual settings and just needed a little help (I think he did a great job!).

I love using contrasting backgrounds in unexpected places...like with maternity...some people would like to see flowery backgrounds, pinks & blues, and hearts shaped by fingers on the belly, which is great for some....but just not for me. Thats why I was so excited to use this old abandoned house for my maternity pictures...old wood, broken windows, dirt & grime (not much different from my house when the boys spend the day inside!)...it was perfect!









We ran out of time and I still have a few more things I want to try...so we are going to do another shoot in a week or two.
